What if we let go of everything we were taught that wedding photography needed to be.

The reason that I love photographing weddings is because not one day feels the same. There is a special magic that happens when one day is filled with so much history, tradition, celebration, love and joy. It’s a day of emotion and surprises - and it is a photographer’s dream. My hope is that when you look back at your wedding photos - they don’t look like something you’ve seen before. I believe that this can only truly happen when we put away any expectations - and we move forward trusting the unexpected. I want to make sure that you don’t feel that the purpose of your day is to get photos - but rather the purpose of your day is to be present - and the photos are a bonus that comes later. A photographer friend who I look up to one said to me, “Instead of trying to get every beat, just get the heartbeats, and I think leaving space for memories to fill is worth a lot.”

My goal is not to photograph as many weddings as possible.
Instead I choose to fill my year with a limited number of weddings, who want what I have to give, so that I can be fully present and available to you.

The couples I work with …
want to experience their day fully,
do not want to be told how to present themselves in photos,
are looking for wedding photos that feel unexpected and unique,
desire unplanned and unscripted photos not found on a shot list.

My hope is that my presence feels like …
a guest at the wedding with a camera (or four),
someone who is not afraid to get to know your family and friends,
a calm, helpful and joyful energy.
