How many photos will I get in my package?

More than enough! My hope is that I can go through your photos and only give you the photos that feel truly reflective of your day - rather than overwhelm you with more images than you know what to do with.

How long until I can see my photos?

It’s so hard to wait and I get it. Your photos will be available 8 weeks after your wedding. I personally sort through thousands of photos to choose your collection as well as edit every single one. Once they are complete, I will send you a link to your gallery and send them immediately. You will receive a small preview within the first week.

Do you take posed photos of families on the wedding day?

Of course! These are super important. The legacy of your family is very important to me. Check out full galleries by clicking here. I do however recommend keeping this number as low as possible. Choose your absolute must have groupings. Many of the others will happen naturally.

Do you deliver black and white images?

Yes! While there is no predicting what exact percentage of your photos will be in black and white — I can tell you that I use this method of editing for two purposeful reasons.

One — the colors and tones in the photo are distracting to the moment happening or unflattering to a person’s natural skin tone. Example: purple uplighting during a reception or DJ green lasers during a first dance.

And two — if the image can have more impact removing the color allowing you to focus on the subject. Almost always if there is an image delivered to you in black and white - there will be a similar one delivered in color.

Do you shoot film?

Yes! I would say that 25% of my wedding work is film. If you would like it to be used more prominently please let me know.

If I’ve selected a package that doesn’t include engagement photos, can I still book a session?

Yes! Engagement sessions can be so rewarding for a variety of reasons. Logistically - it’s such an incredible way to get to know me and for me to get to know you. That way — on the wedding day, you’ve already spent time in front of the camera and are familiar with how it feels. Secondly, it’s an incredible way to document a special chapter of your life. From your neighborhood walk to your childhood summer home — my goal is to make engagement sessions intentional and meaningful so that you’ll have images of this time for years to come.

This session is priced at $650 and includes a 1 - 2 hour photoshoot and you’ll receive a gallery of high resolution edited images with the ability to download, order prints and design products. Keep in mind, anything more than one hour from Grand Rapids will be associated with a travel fee.

The package I selected doesn’t include an album, can you help me with this?

I truly believe that images are meant to be printed. They are meant to be held in our hands, hung in our homes and sat on our coffee tables. My hope is to help you make this a reality by offering a variety of ways to print your images as well as custom design an album for you. Each gallery allows you access to print packs, fine art prints and other goods such as calendars and greeting cards. In addition to this, I offer a fine art album in three different sizes which is perfect for keeping your photos in pristine position for years to come. Reach out to me for more details!

What if I would like more than 8 hours of photography on my wedding day?

I’m happy to accommodate this — extra time is available at $600 per hour.

How do I book my date with you?

First of all, thank you! When you book your wedding with me, you will send me a 40% deposit. This deposit holds your spot and is non-refundable. The remaining balance will be paid a month before the wedding. You will also e-sign a contract as soon as I receive your verbal agreement.

How do I prepare for working with you?

I just want you to know that it’s completely okay to be yourself. I love authentic humans — and I don’t ever want you to feel like you need to be a certain way to be photographed. I want you to be vulnerable, let go and know that I’ve completely got you.

Do you work with a specific shot list?

I find the beauty of wedding photography is in the surprise and the uniqueness of each event. With this in mind, I prefer not to work off of a specific shot list, but instead work together to recognize who is important and to generate a list of family formals as well as other important aspects of the day that need to be photographed.
